I have just spoken to Alan at The Council... Due to an error by the cutting contractor the early season cut has been missed and will now not be done. This means that the next cut wont be until August and the grass will be long throughout the summer season. Therefore you need to give yourselves as much time as possible for your summer league rounds. Alan apologises but his hands are tied by the conservation personnel.

think of the butterflies.....perhaps a bit of the ace pot could be used to buy a strimmer to cut the basket areas..

I wouldn't like to see the Ace Pot spent on anything other than an ace! Great idea however to get a strimmer with club funds if enough is in there.

We have a perfectly good strimmer already. We will organise a maintenance day where we can sort the baskets Tee signs strimming and maybe look at the tees. We can also take a traveller to hole 16 again and try out the potential new positions.

We have cash in the bank if anyone has ideas of what we need to spend it on.

i like the idea of putting in kids tees so we can really encourage youngsters to play.
