After last years record breaking tournament CDGC is proud to present the 2009 Croydon Cyclone.


Format
• 3x18 for all players, plus final 9 for top 5 players in Open, Advance Amateur and Intermediate Amateur divisions.

Tournament Fee
The cost shown is for the complete two-day tournament.
Adult £17.00 (£20 if payment is received after 15th August)
(cumulative £2.00 reductions for BDGA Touring members; CDGC members; students and unwaged)
• Junior / Junior Junior £12 (£2 reduction for BDGA)
Juniors are 16 and under on 1 January 09
Juniors Juniors are 12 and under on 1 January 09

Lunch is just £3 per day. We expect to have soup (weather dependant), baguettes with a variety of fillings for you to choose, crisps, fruit and choccy biscuits.

Prizes shall be awarded to the top players in each Division. There will be no cash prizes. Spirit of the Game will be awarded as will Closest to Pin, and Longest Putt.

Food and facilities
Please bring drinks and confectionery/bars as there are no shops by the course. There are toilets on site.

Accommodation
I am pleased to confirm that THE HOLIDAY INN offer of a discounted rate of £50.00 per room per night inclusive of Continental breakfast for "The Croydon Cyclone" event taking place on the 05th September 2009. I can also confirm that this rate is also valid on the 04th and 06th September 2009.

We also have floor space available at the Scout Hut which will also serve as Tournament HQ and the Lunch and Bar-b-q venue.The cost will be just £5 per night.

The hut is not easy to find as its in a cutting. Better directions will follow. The hut is a 5 minute walk from Lloyd Park and will be used for Lunches.

Saturday Evening
There will be a bar-b-q on Saturday evening at around 1930. This will be held at the scout hall/tournament hq. The cost will be £5. Deadline for the bar-b-q is Tuesday 1st Sept (So we can get the food in)

Lloyd Park is located in the middle of Croydon. The best way to get to it is by Public Transport. Trains, tube and tram. Parking in Croydon can be expensive. NEVER park illegally (traffic wardens are bad here). There is a car park at the park.

Public transport from London
Get the tube to London Victoria or London Bridge stations and take a train to East Croydon (15mins). Catch a tram from outside East Croydon (the No. 3 to Addington) and get off after 3 stops at Lloyd Park (7mins.


By car
Take the Croydon/A23 junction of the M25. Follow the A23 to the Tesco Store in Purley. Go straight up the A235 Brighton Road. Follow A235 till set of traffic lights with ‘The Edge’ pub/bar on right. Turn Right onto Coombe Road. Follow for 1 mile to Lloyd Park on left
