Hey there,

Just found out a few minutes ago that London has a course now and I'm pumped. I've been living about 8months out of the year in London the past few years attending University here and playing Disc Golf at home in Ohio in the US in my summers. I'm excited to be able to play here -- discovered there was one in Leamington when I went to Stratford and was considering making a trip back even.

I initally brought my discs years ago, but not finding anywhere to play have been leaving them at home. I'm wondering where you lot get your discs. There's a couple I've read about that I'd been wanting to try anyway, so I could buy one or two more. Are they rented or sold at the course? Are there shops that stock them in London?

Hey Sheep Dog

The guys have club discs you can borrow, or even do a deal to buy if you like.
If you prefer to get your own plastic, try Disczoo, Nige is a top fella and always willing to help out.

As playing goes, if you get the map off the website, you should be able to find your own way around, or meet up with some of the guys on Weds or the weekend.

We will be starting a weeknight club session every Weds 6-6.30pm from 2nd May onwards, which you're more than welcome to attend!

just checked out disczoo.com and had already checked out discology.com
I was hoping there was a shop or sporting goods store around I might be able to just walk into.
What's really turning me off about these online retailers is that I can't see any way to specify what weight (and I like to feel'em too) they are, the selection is pretty limited, and they are much more expensive than I get them in the US. At home they're $9 for the regular ones ($20ish for pro), looks like the average here is ?11 for reg, nearly 2.5x the price :-/

btw, noticed these mini-discs on the sites and never seen them before. What's the deal with those? Can you actually use them on the course, or are they just a laugh?

Hope I'll be able to come down and play. I'm only in London for about two and a half more weeks though as classes are ending, and 6 days of that I'll be hanging out in Italy (the, ahem, study days before exams).
Otherwise, I'll definitely see you guys come September when I've got my own discs and will be more practiced
