After Bruce Webbers win at the Mull tournament CDGC went to the Bristol event with high hopes.

On a scorching hot weekend 9 of the Croydon Boys travelled west to stunning Ashton Court. A magnificent park with a 12 hole course offering some great golf.

Playing a slightly unusual format we played 4 rounds of 12 on the Saturday and 2 of 12 on Sunday with no final.

After 7 1/2 hours of golf on the 1st day Jester and Tim both had leads in the Open and Adv Ams divisions. Bruce, Dan Ryan and Rich Wood, Rich

OConnell and Phil Wood were all in contention in their respective divisions.

The golf on Saturday had been pretty tough going, the sun beat down and we had recorded temps of 30 degrees. Some of us struggled to hold it together in the afternoon but were fully up for it on Sunday, weather still glorious.

Tim and Jester both securing solid victories to bring the trophies back to Croydon.
