Tom Lowes became The 2009 Croydon Cup Champion with a fine display of consistantly controled golf. A reasonably new disc golfer at Lloyd Park, Tom has played a lot of Ultimate in the past. The chemistry teacher from south west London took his handicap from the Croydon cyclone scores he amassed in September and pretty much lead from start to finish.

New CDGC but old hand Oz Friere (who also had a fantastic ace on hole 8) came second with Rich Wood happy with his 3rd place.

Jester Wilson, reigning champion, played some good golf but a pretty tough -2 handicap made his task just too difficult to retain the title.

18 players took part in this years CC and now a lot of them will be heading up to Quarry Park for the first leg of the Hyser Cup on Sunday 28th Nov.

Chris Rowland made the trip over from the East of England to take the spoils in the 2009 running of Discraft's Ace Race. Croydon Disc Golf's Stewart Gudgeon organised the event and 30 or so players attended.

Chris won a full bag of shiny new plastic for his ace and 2 metals (hitting the basket but not leaving the disc inside it) in a fun day of disc golf. Congatulations on a fine performance and also to Connor who  bagged an ace on the amended 9 hole course at Croydon's Lloyd Park.

London Has a new Landmark!

Croydon Disc Golf Club is very close to central London, this makes us very easy to get to from nearly anywhere. There is a tram link from the park to East Croydon station (10 mins. to London Victoria), therefore we hope that the development of the course will progress the sport in London and the UK. Disc golf in London looks set to grow!

Any one is welcome to play disc golf at Lloyd park and if you contact us we can arrange to show you around and lend you some discs. Anyone can play disc golf and all are welcome. The main weekly games are usually Wednesday and Sunday mornings in the winter and Wednesday evenings in the summer. but you may play whenever you like.

So if you've played disc golf before or if you haven't but you're curious and you're in or around London, get in touch, We are the only basketed disc golf club in London and we have already generated a lot of interest from people who have played disc golf before and some who haven't. They all share one thing in common..... They're all still playing!! It seems every one who plays disc golf is instantly addicted.
